Major UK dealer services company collapses

Nectere applies for voluntary liquidation.

Following weeks of speculation, UK office products dealer services organisation Nectere has released a statement confirming its decision to apply for voluntary liquidation.

As previously reported by OPI, Nectere suddenly stopped making deliveries to its dealers’ customers just before Christmas and did not pay dealers for the month of December.

Under the Nectere model, the group invoices clients and then forwards the money onto its partners after deducting its fee. Therefore, dealers’ income was essentially switched off overnight.

OPI reported that dealers are clearly worried that funds collected by Nectere, and now debt recovery firm JPA, since 1 January will be used to pay off company debts, leaving them even further out of pocket.

Nectere’s website states:  Nectere is the UK and Ireland's leading dealer services provider. We are not a dealer group, we are so much more. We don't just support you, we actually do the work for you.  We pride ourselves on our world class service levels and going the extra mile. Our teams are dedicated to providing you with the very best service. We're always on hand to deal with queries and offer advice when you or your customers need it most.’
