Office Brands names new CEO

Dealer group appoints former boss of Australian Newsagents Federation.
Office Brands has announced the appointment of Adam Joy (pictured) as chief executive officer, effective 15 June.
A former CEO of the Australian Newsagents Federation from 2009 to 2018, Joy succeeds Gavin Ward, who resigned last August after an eight-year stint with the dealer group.
Joy is currently chief operating officer at University of Wollongong Pulse, a non-profit organisation receiving income from the university’s trading operations which aim to improve the student experience for UOW students.
Joy has a Masters in International Project Management and Masters in Business Management from Federation University as well as a Post Graduate Diploma - Strategic Business from the University of Ballarat.

On his Linkedin page, Joy stated: “I am an experienced Executive Operational and Strategic Manager with a background in operational control and change management as well as contract and legislative compliance within a large multinational organisation. I provide leadership, development and a talent for strategic planning to ensure optimal business and financial outcomes.
“I have demonstrated highly-developed analytic and investigative capacities with a strong practical approach. I am innovative and have demonstrable strong skills in business consulting, financial analysis, IT Implementation, supplier negotiation, oral and written communication, team and project management.”
