Tonnes of tech items diverted from landfill.

 

Officeworks is staging another People and Planet Positive Pop Up Day at its Fitzroy store in Melbourne on 15 February.

 

This will be Officeworks’ fifth Recycling Pop Up Day, with previous events collecting up to 933kg of electronic waste and 18kg of batteries in a single day, diverting this waste from landfill. 

 

Under the scheme, locals can bring household batteries and other tech items to be collected and recycled. 

 

Accepted products include computers, video equipment, games consoles, cameras, televisions, printers, hard drives, phones, ink and toner cartridges and more. 

 

Since first launching the Officeworks Bring It Back program in 2015, the retailer has helped recycle more than 9000 tonnes of products.
