Smiggle signs Disney deal in time for Christmas

Strong BTS sales in Europe auger well for Oz.
Stationery chain Smiggle has signed another licensing deal with The Walt Disney Company for a range of Marvel and Disney Princess-branded stationery, bags and drink bottles.
John Cheston, managing director of the Premier Investments-owned retailer said the new range will be introduced before Christmas.
Smiggle launched its first-ever branded collaboration with Disney in 2019 to create two limited-edition capsule collections for both Frozen 2 and Star Wars.
Following a strong back-to-school campaign in Europe, Chester said the combination of lockdowns ending in NSW and Victoria and pent-up demand and a desire by parents to “spoil their children” this Christmas, would be a boon for the Smiggle brand.
