Warehouse Stationery soaks up solar power

Warehouse Group partners with energy company.

Several Warehouse Stationery stores in New Zealand are now running on solar power following the parent company’s agreement with power company Lodestar Energy.

The Warehouse Group has confirmed that 26 of its stores and locations, including The Warehouse, Warehouse Stationery, Noel Leeming and Torpedo7, are now powered by solar energy.

This follows an agreement with Lodestone Energy that will see more than 250 sites across New Zealand switch to solar energy plans by the end of 2026.

To fuel its 26 sites and stores, The Warehouse Group has tapped into Lodestone’s new 64-hectare Kaitaia solar farm, where it will receive the benefit of 25 per cent of the solar power it generates.

The Warehouse Stationery stores involved are located at Hamilton and Pukekohe.
