AI has some answers for small business

OP dealers get a taste of things to come.

A hot topic at present is the impact of AI on business and the community in general so it was timely for an expert on the subject to be the keynote speaker at last weekend’s OPIx event in Cairns.

Dawid Naude, CEO and founder of Pathfindr, gave Office Choice and Office National members some insights into the limitless opportunities that AI presents for small-to-medium enterprises.

Some examples included the ability for small businesses to create their own websites and localised videos from AI-generated ‘white papers’.

He also suggested that AI could phase out the need for an IT department.

Nuade described the ‘black market’ for graphic processing chips as being part of the world’s “greatest arms race” as multi-billionaires such as Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg compete to create data centres the “size of Manhatten”.

Pathfindr was named one  of the Australian Financial Review’s ‘most innovative companies’ in 2024.

Among its client list are Coles and Liquorland.
