Ansell to buy Kimberly-Clark PPE business

Aussie company expands global footprint.
 
Health and safety products company Ansell has has entered into a binding agreement to acquire 100  per cent of the assets of Kimberly-Clark's Personal Protective Equipment (KCPPE) business.
 
Kimberly-Clark is the US-based consumer staples giant behind popular products such as Kleenex and Huggies.
 
The PPE business is part of the company’s professional division.
 
Ansell will reportedly acquire the PPE business for million $974.6 million in cash. This business includes brands such as Kimtech and KleenGuard. As well as glove, mask, apparel and eyewear manufacturing facilities.    
 
Ansell CEO Neil Salmon said: “Our existing footprint, in addition to our global organisation and supply chain, creates the opportunity to generate significant synergy value from the acquisition while also enhancing our combined organic growth potential and we are excited about the benefits this will create for Ansell's customers and shareholders.”
