Central Buying group partners with NLNA

Seven-year deal covers more than 2000 newsagencies and lottery agents.

Central Buying Group (CBG) has announced a partnership with the National Lotteries and Newsagents Association (NLNA), which has around 2000 members nationally.

The seven-year deal will provide NLNA members with access to more than 90 suppliers across 22 categories.

“Be it gifting, homewares, fragrance, toys, art and craft, Soda Stream or confectionery, CBG has products our customers want,” CBG director Peter Hede said.

“And we deliver exclusive member pricing, tailored promotional support, and a smarter buying process,” he added.

“We're committed to helping every member be the best community store in their district. Growing non-core sales is what we do, and we look forward to working with NLNA members right across the network," he said.

CBG claims to be Australia’s fastest growing buying group for independent retailers, having launched in 2023 with the representation of more than 600 licenced post offices by Hede and Amanda Matthews, both of whom previously worked for Australia Post.

Hede told Office Products News that CBG would welcome aboard any independent retailers who would benefit from having access to new categories, including gifts, confectionery, paper products, toys, novelties, appliances and seasonal products.

The group, which also represents convenience stores, tobacconists and grocery outlets, carries out regular EDM promotions and seasonal campaigns.
