Charity Christmas lunch raises $50,000

Office products community digs deep for children’s charities.

The Australian office products community has once again demonstrated its generosity with more than $50,000 raised at last week’s Christmas charity lunch in Sydney.

Organised by the Australian Office Products Charitable Fund, the event attracted more than 100 dealers, suppliers, wholesalers and guests to Club York, where AOPCF chairman John Donaghy worked feverously to extract maximum contributions to the fund-raising auction and raffle.

Cheques for $40,000 and $10,000 were presented respectively to this year’s beneficiaries, MindBlank and Dandelion Support Network.

Donaghy said the Charity Fund was particularly thankful for the support of the two major sponsors – ACCO Brands and Complete Office Supplies – as well as other suppliers and individuals who donated cash and more than $10,000 worth of items for school book packs.

The Charity Fund’s next fund-raising event will be the annual golf day in March, 2023.
