Charity golf day raises $20,000

Office products industry tees off for children’s charities.
Last week’s 24th Office Products Charity Golf Day raised more than $20,000 with all proceeds going to children’s charities.
More than 80 players teed off in perfect weather in a four-person ambrose event at Brighton Lakes Golf Club in Sydney.
The winning team in the scratch event was Winc Australia, comprising Glen Shepherd, Glenn Gunstone, Jim Georges and Ross Vourloumis.
The winning team on handicap was Hamelin Brands, comprising Nicholas Afriat, Michael Stathakis, Grahame Fear and Adrian Hargreaves.
Charity Fund chairman John Donaghy thanked sponsors and players for their support of the event, which has been held for the past 24 years.
Major sponsors of the day were ACCO Brands, Winc Australia and dealer group Office Brands. Other supporters included drinks cart sponsor Office Choice and Double A, which donated pallets of office paper for the raffle.
Since its inception, the Australian Office Products Charitable Fund has raised more than $1.6 million on behalf of children’s charities that receive little or no funding outside the private sector.
