Charity lunch to be more than a 'dry' affair

Bring your cash to assist drought-affected schools.

This Friday’s office products industry charity lunch at the Kirribilli Club in Sydney promises to be an action-packed event with entertainment, auctions and raffles in aid of two great causes – the Charlie Teo Foundation and drought-affected schools.

Organised by the Australian Office Products Industry Charitable Fund, the lunch has attracted more than 170 attendees with the support of major sponsors ACCO Brands, Australian Paper (Reflex), Complete Office Supplies and Dynamic Supplies.

This year's lunch is the start of a fund-raising campaign to provide 3000 book packs for more than 50 schools in drought-affected areas.

Among the auction items is a rare and original framed score sheet from the 1947 cricket test match between Australia and India, which records Sir Donald Bradman’s 100th century innings.

Other auction items include:

  • Pallet of Reflex office paper
  • Hobart travel package (staying at Grand Chancellor Hotel, pictured)
  • Outback travel package
  • Gift box of Bordeaux wines
  • Corporate golf day
  • Dinner for six with Dr Charlie Teo
  • Framed and signed team sheet from 1957/58 cricket tour of South Africa
  • Gold and pearl earrings

The Fund’s next event will be the annual golf day at Macquarie Links in March in aid of Limbs 4 Kids.
