Kookaburra under new ownership from October.

 

Complete Office Supplies has followed up its recent acquisition of Tosco Business & Education by purchasing Kookaburra Education Resources.

 

Based in West Mayfield (a suburb of Newcastle), Kookaburra is a privately-owned business established 35 years ago.

 

The deal, effective 1 October, will see Kookaburra continue to operate as a separate entity from COS, utilising its own website and systems.

 

COS said the acquisition allows the company to enter the audio-visual category while expanding its offer in learning aids, sports equipment, STEM and music supplies.

 

Office Products News understands that other parties had been eyeing Kookaburra, including Brookvale-based Modern Teaching Aids (MTA).

 

In addition to Kookaburra and Tosco, COS has bought a number of related businesses in recent years, including WA-based Quick Corporate Australia and J.I. Office and Education in Victoria.
