Faber-Castell issues scam warning

Stationery firm takes legal action against online scammers.
Faber-Castell has warned its Australian customers about “fake shops” and “competitions for gift sets”.
The stationery company’s website said it has taken legal action following numerous reports it received in connection to the online scams.
The company said a fake online shop can be recognised by the following characteristics:
- Non-existent or incomplete imprint
- Only limited payment options available (In online shops you are not familiar with, do not pay until you have received the products)
- Unreasonable prices (Very low prices can be a sign of a fake online shop)
In relation to fake competitions and giveaways, the company advised customers not click on any suspicious ad links or give out any personal information.
