Spanish club kicks a few sustainability goals.

 

Leading Spanish football club FC Barcelona has launched a new environmental policy which includes a detailed commitment to sustainable office supplies.

 

The club’s 2030 Sustainable Development Goals include proposals that must be implemented at all levels of the club to reduce emissions. and waste, increase energy efficiency and encourage the use of renewable energies.

 

The club’s newly-released Guide to a Green Office offers tools to reduce, reuse and recycle as many materials as possible, to minimise waste and open up the possibility of circular economy projects.

 

To facilitate the process, the club has various types of certifications that guarantee that materials, processes and services have passed the relevant controls. These green labels include FSC, PFEC and Energy Star. 

 

It also suggests actions for the reduction or responsible use of such materials as paper, plastic, stationery and batteries.
