National wholesaler expands direct import portfolio.

 

GNS Wholesale has acquired the business and assets of Bounce Rubber Bands Australia and New Zealand from owner and founder Mark Moffett’s family business.

 

Bounce is an importer and distributor of quality rubber bands sourced from Thailand. 

 

Paul Yardley, CEO of GNS Wholesale, said: “I’m excited to bring the Bounce brand into our portfolio and welcome Bounce’s customer base to GNS.  The acquisition is in line with our strategy of driving consolidation in the industry and further broadens our direct import product portfolio. We have worked with Bounce for a number of years and strongly believe in the sustainable, eco-friendly brand.”

 

Bounce CEO Mark Moffett added: “We’ve built a great business over the past few years and now is a natural time for us to pass it on. GNS is a great fit as the new owner with their national network, scale and sales team.  I’m looking forward to having more time to spend on our other businesses and growing the Bounce brand globally.”

 

Bounce’s existing customer base covers all industry sectors, including florists, finance, corporate, food, agriculture, packaging, office supplies, industrial, education and media. 

 

Yardley said the acquisition expands GNS’ current range in a category with attractive commercial characteristics, provides customers with improved access to Bounce product via GNS’s national network of warehouses and adds new customer verticals to GNS’ existing retailer and office products dealer business.
