National Recycling Week celebrates 25th anniversary
Officeworks and Nespresso get on board.
National Recycling Week, established by Planet Ark in 1996, is celebrating its 25th anniversary this week (8-14 November) with an emphasis on pro-active recycling actions among consumers, business and local government.
According to Planet Ark, research shows having recycling programs in place in the workplace is not only good for the environment but also for staff morale.

Among the sponsors of National Recycling Week are Officeworks and Nespresso.
Officeworks has a free drop-off recycling station for a variety of items including used printer cartridges, mobile phones, batteries, pens, markers, computers, and computer accessories.
Since 2005, Officeworks has been involved in the Cartridges 4 Planet Ark program.
To date, more than 12 million printer cartridges have been recycled through Officeworks, making it the largest retail partner to the program.
As part of its People & Planet Positive 2025 Commitments, Officeworks has set goals to become a zero-waste business and use 100 per cent renewable energy by 2025.
Nespresso urges coffee drinkers to recycle their coffee capsules via its own recycling system for used capsules – the first of its kind in Australia.
