Office Brands discusses ‘pain relief’ with supply partners

Dealer group hosts summit to address critical industry issues.

Office Brands hosted an industry summit last week to identify some “common pain points” with its supply partners.

Attended by 18 delegates and hosted by Office Brands CEO Adam Joy (pictured), the summit was independently facilitated, and the Australian Consumer and Competition Commission was invited to attend to ensure that all avenues addressed were legal.

Joy told Office Products News: “Working closely with partners to reduce waste and create efficiency for the benefits of our members and the industry overall is essential to future-proof our continued approach to being profitable and sustainable members.”

Some of the critical areas discussed included:
  • Manufacturing, supply chain and logistics in the domestic and global market
  • Labour marketplace and its impact on Office Brands members and partners.
  • Collection, analysis and application of data how it can benefit the channel
  • Opportunities for a collective approach to government relations
The summit also discussed the benefits of working with Office Brands' newly-established member committee group on particular assignments.

After reviewing the outcomes of its first session, the group will look to establish some common goals for future sessions.

“It was well-recognised of the symbiotic relationship benefits we all achieve by working closer for the benefit of all our members and we are grateful for our partners investing their time for this purpose,” Joy said.
