Office Choice launches GoFundMe campaign for Lismore member

GoFundMe page set up to assist the re-building of Dolphin Office Choice.

Office Choice member Dolphin Office Choice has begun the re-building process following the recent floods that devastated south-east Queensland and northern New South Wales.

The rising floodwaters caused major damage to the company’s premises, including the loss of over $300,000 worth of stock, fixtures and fittings, six company vehicles, and a forklift across three of their locations in Lismore, Casino, and Mullumbimby.

Due to the “amazing effort of staff and local volunteers”, the four stores at Ballina, Byron Bay, Casino and Mullumbimby are open for business. The Lismore warehouse will be partially operational from Monday 14th March 2022.

To support this effort, Office Choice announced a flood relief fund to assist Dolphin Office Choice during this challenging time financially.

The dealer group is calling on all Office Choice members, suppliers, industry associates, and the Australian Office Products Charitable Fund to support it with donations and financial support for this “much loved and respected member of the industry”.

Donations can be made via a GoFundMe page at https://www.gofundme.com/f/dolphin-office-choice. For those wanting to donate directly, please contact Office Choice Ltd at [email protected]

The board of directors of Office Choice Ltd has commenced the financial support with a generous contribution of $20,000.

“This is the time when we as an industry can come together to support one of our own to help recover from this unprecedented event.  The board have also offered support to Office Choice Murwillumbah which had some minor shop flooding with the town cut-off during the peak flood periods,” the group said.

Brad O’Brien, CEO of Office Choice, travelled to the area this week to meet with local members and offer help and support to Jason Camidge and the team at Dolphin Office Choice as they commence the rebuilding of a “much-loved family business within the group”.
