Inquisitive reptile ends up a little shorter.

 

Workers at an office in Logan, south of Brisbane, had an unusual problem with a shredder last month – it was jammed by a snake.

 

A common tree snake, which severed its own tail after being caught inside a paper shredder, was finally rescued by professional snake catchers.

 

According to a report in the Daily Mail, the tree snake likes to inspect little holes and crevices looking for things to eat..

 

It seems the snake in question applied pressure to the on/off switch to the machine while its tail was still between the blades. 

 

After a rescuer put the blades in reverse, the snake was released.

 

Despite the wound looking bad social media users were assured the snake would be able to make a full recovery, just a touch shorter than before.
