Officeworks adds Santa to cyber week sales push
Retailer goes into campaign mode on several fronts.
Officeworks has introduced an animated Santa to spearhead its 2021 Christmas advertising campaign.
The initial ad features Santa distributing a range of gifts picked up from the retailer to Mrs Claus, Rudolph the reindeer, an elf and young girl.
The TV spot is complemented by Officeworks’ sponsorship of Nine’s Lego Masters Christmas special, which aired last month, as well as a program of media including radio, print, digital and social media, out-of-home, catalogue and in-store.
There’s also the return of the AR Santa experience first debuted last year, as well as Snapchat Santa Game and lens, an online gift finder and ‘Guess the gift’ competition on social media.
Jessica Richmond, Officeworks general manager marketing, data and insights, said the campaign was designed to “inspire customers to find the perfect thoughtful gift from the wide range of art supplies and craft, technology and gaming products or from its print and create services.”
The campaign is supported with the return of the popular AR Santa experience, via a Lego Masters Christmas Special media partnership, a new Snapchat Santa Game & Lens, an online gift finder and a ‘Guess the gift’ competition running on social media channels.
Officeworks has also scheduled a ‘Price Beat Black Friday’ campaign ahead of Cyber Weekend, highlighting Officeworks value offer to customers through its ‘Price Beat Guarantee’.
