Retailer’s first store gets a birthday makeover.

 

Officeworks has celebrated its 30th anniversary with a major refurbishment of the company’s first outlet in the Melbourne suburb of Richmond.

 

The refurbishment, which commenced last month, marks a significant milestone for both the store and the business. 

 

Featuring a technology upgrade, the new layout offers customers a broader selection of products, including an expanded range of Apple, Microsoft, and digital display offerings. 

 

To minimise customer disruption, substantial work was carried out after hours, with fixtures moved and new planograms built to optimise the store layout. 

 

Officeworks Richmond store business manager, Ben Murphy said, “The exciting project received tremendous support from stores across Victoria including Ringwood (pictured around the same time as the Richmond store opening in 1994) , Kew East and Camberwell.
