Retailer launches ‘Price Drop’ range for essential items.

 

Officeworks has permanently lowered prices on more than a thousand school, work and business products in one of its largest price resets in recent years

 

The move signals a significant value-led direction for the retailer under the leadership of former Kmart CEO John Gualtieri.

 

Launching in-store and online from today (17 February), lower prices will be applied to ink, paper, stationery, tech accessories and classroom supplies.

 

Gualtieri, Officeworks managing director, said:  “We’ve focused on the items customers repurchase most often, because that’s where lower prices have the greatest impact and savings build over time.

 

“For example, a typical school essentials basket will now save families more than 20 per cent - money that can go back into groceries, bills or kids’ activities,” he said.

 

“This reset is about passing on savings where customers feel it most - on the items they buy regularly. For example, the HP 67XL Original Ink Cartridge Black is now $44, down from $59, which is 25 per cent off.” 

 

Officeworks for Business customers will receive an additional five per cent off newly reduced prices on eligible products.

 

The new Officeworks ‘Price Drop’ range includes J.Burrows 80gsm Premium A4 Copy Paper 500 Sheet Ream from $8 to now dropping to $6.75, PK5 JB Stick It notes 76x76 from $13 to $10 and J Burrows A4 Binder 2D 25mm Lilac from $3.60 to $3
