New Mount Barker store has a community feel.

 

Officeworks has highlighted the local connection of team members at its newest store, located in the Adelaide Hills region in South Australia.

 

The Mount Barker store, around 35 kilometres south-west of Adelaide, opened in last week with new 35 staff members, most of them residing in the region. 

 

"Mount Barker is an exciting milestone for Officeworks as we continue to grow our store network in communities where we know customers value having a local Officeworks," Officeworks managing director John Gualtieri said.

 

Mount Barker store business manager local resident Amy Watkins said the “sense of anticipation” across Mount Barker and the broader Adelaide Hills community has been clear from the moment the team arrived. 

 

“Everywhere we go, people ask when we’re opening and what will be available in store,”  she said, adding  “I’m proud of the team we’ve built, the local people we’ve hired, and the opportunity we have to support this community from day one.” 

 

Officeworks presented Mount Barker South Primary School with $1000 worth of gift cards at the opening ceremony on 29 July.

 

Officeworks has around 175 stores around Australia, including 11 in South Australia.
