Black Friday sales boost for Christmas gifts.

 

Officeworks has introduced a new scheme in which customers can trade in used tech products in return for a gift card.

 

The retailer said the program is designed to encourage customers who are looking to upgrade their phone, tablet or laptop, to take advantage of the offer to receive an Officeworks gift card in exchange for their old device.

 

Meantime, Officeworks has issued an update on its Black Friday and Cyber Monday campaigns, which have seen a spike in technology sales prior to Christmas.

 

Jim Berndelis, Officeworks general manager, merchandise. said: “We are seeing customers getting a head start on their Christmas gift shopping with items such as mobile phones, tablets, smart watches, wireless earbuds, e-readers, computers, gaming accessories and smart home products proving to be be popular. 

 

“As technology becomes more and more essential to a child’s classroom experience, we are starting to see parents utilise key sales periods, such as Black Friday, to purchase tech products like laptops that’ll be used in the classroom,” he added.
