Officeworks raises $650,000 for literacy foundation

Customers and communities support annual appeal.
 
Officeworks’ annual Literacy is Freedom Appeal has raised $650,000 for the Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation (ALNF).
 
Officeworks customers and teams were encouraged to participate in the appeal throughout October with all funds raised going to support key ALNF programs.
 
Stores and communities that participated in this year’s fundraising efforts included:
  • Milton - $12,990
  • Taren Point - $10,080
  • Virginia - $9,305
  • Marion - $8,859
  • Chadstone - $8,526
Sarah Hunter, Officeworks managing director, said: “With the $650,000 raised through the generosity of our customers, ALNF will be able to support 5400 students to build bigger and brighter futures through greater access to education”.
 
The partnership between Officeworks and ALNF has raised more than $4 million since its formation in 2012.
