Officeworks has relocated its Minchinbury store in western Sydney to a new location in Eastern Creek.

 

Opening today, the Eastern Creek outlet joins 12 stores servicing the growing western Sydney region.

 

The Eastern Creek store, located at 2 Goldsboro Glade, and will create 18 new local jobs in addition to team members transferring from Minchinbury.

 

As is the case for the recently-opened Robina store on the Gold Coast, the Eastern Creek store features several sustainability initiatives, including a rainwater harvesting site from tanks on the roof to supply irrigation to landscaping and reducing water usage, and solar panels installed on the roof will be active from opening day to enable Officeworks to help power the store by renewable energy. 

 

Paul Mackenzie, Officeworks Eastern Creek store business manager, said: “Beyond the store initiatives, we want to provide our customers with the opportunity to make a positive difference when shopping with us, at Officeworks our customers can shop for a more sustainable range of greener choice products, and recycle their unwanted products.” 

Eastern Creek residents and the surrounding communities have been invited to visit the new store on Saturday 18 June for a ‘Community Fun Day’, which will feature a range of free activities including art workshops, giant Jenga, bowling, art and crafts, giveaways and complimentary coffee.
