Leading visual communications dealer Visionchart is reporting a rapid increase in porcelain whiteboards sales over cheaper painted whiteboards.

Porcelain (or vitreous enamel) whiteboards have a significantly longer life than painted or standard magnetic boards, according to Visionchart dealer manager Robin Scott.

Scott said that nearly 80 per cent of all of the company’s porcelain board sales are replacing existing boards.

 “A recent installation in Melbourne was to replace all the company’s 27 whiteboards that had failed or presented a poor company image to their clients. The false economy was these boards were mostly less than two years old,” he said.

Visionchart’s Communicate Porcelain boards have a 25-year surface warranty with either a standard aluminium frame or the designer LX Series frames.

 “With most boardrooms having a smart projection system, it is also a timely reminder that only porcelain boards are available in specific projection-friendly grade that has significantly less reflection than a standard board,” Scott added.
