School supplies sought for Turkey earthquake appeal

Stationery items needed for thousands of students impacted by earthquake.

Members of Sydney’s Turkish community have launched an appeal for stationery items to assist families impacted by the recent earthquake that devastated large parts of Turkey and Syria.

Maroof Khan, director of Office Choice member NSW Office Solutions, told Office Products News: “As a concerned citizen, I have been volunteering my time to help the students affected by the earthquake. However, we have been facing a shortage of stationery supplies for the students. Many students have lost their books, pens, pencils, and other stationery items in the earthquake, and they do not have the means to replace them.

“We are reaching out to kind-hearted people in the office products industry to request a donation of stationery supplies, such as notebooks, pencils, pens, erasers, sharpeners,  rulers, schoolbags, for these students.

“Your support can make a big difference in the lives of these children by providing them with the tools they need to continue their education,” he said.

If you would like to make a donation, please contact  (Maroof - NSW Office Solutions 0433 437 786) - Ozlem on 0410 336 876 or Funda on 0435 892 845 (shipment container organiser) to arrange a drop-off or pick-up of the supplies
