Stationery Aid gets donation with a difference
Officeworks supports Queensland charity group.
Queensland not-for-profit group Stationery Aid is set to receive more than $71,000 thanks to this year’s Officeworks ‘Make A Difference Appeal’.
Stationery Aid was one of 16 community organisations Australia-wide selected by Officeworks store team members to be supported in this year’s 'Make a Difference Appeal', which was held throughout the month of June.
The appeal encouraged customers to donate at the checkout in-store or online, with more than $71,000 being raised for Stationery Aid nationally, including more than $5000 raised by the Morayfield Officeworks community.
Stationery Aid founder Alison Schutt (pictured) said: “Through our partnership with Officeworks’ ‘Make a Difference Appeal’, Stationery Aid will be in a position to support more students than in previous years.
“Every $60 raised will help us provide a full student booklist for a disadvantaged child to start school next year. This provides a student with resources for 12 months of learning at school.
“The funds may also give us an opportunity to build our relationships and partnerships with organisations in rural, regional and remote communities of Australia to assist disadvantaged school students that need it most in these areas,” she said.
