Officebarn Gisborne reverts to Office National on 1 August.

 

Victorian dealer Officebarn has rejoined the Office Brands group under the Office National banner, having previously been a member of Office Choice for the past 11 years.

 

Established in 2005 by Dave and Leanne Cashmore (pictured), Officebarn is based in Gisborne, located about 50 kilometres north-west of Melbourne in the Macedon Ranges region.

 

Dave Cashmore told Office Products News that the reason for the move back to Office Brands was prompted by some “support issues for our business”.

 

Like many dealers, Officebarn has seen a “dramatic” decrease in B2B business due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

“Prior to COVID, our business was evenly split between B2B and retail but retail is now around 80 per cent and has picked up the slack” Cashmore said. 

 

“Although we are not in lockdown, we’ve lost about a quarter of our schools trade and large slice of commercial business. At the same time, we’ve had a massive increase in home office categories, particularly office chairs, ink and toner and multi-function devices,” he said.

 

He added that while there were still some stock shortages, Dynamic Supplies had a done a “great job” with PPE, which had expanded greatly off a zero base.
