Winc provides relief for bushfire-affected communities
Winc Australia’s $250,000 pledge to support bushfire-affected communities has become a reality.
Winc established Winc Disaster Relief to provide much needed supplies to communities affected by the recent bushfires.
Winc Disaster Relief made use of the company’s national distribution and delivery system to support organisations such as Foodbank, which received $50,000 worth of personal care items.
The company also provided a range of essential items such as P2 masks, water and coffee supplies which it picked, packed and delivered to the people in need.
Winc team members have also been encouraged to take two days of paid volunteer leave to support any bushfire related group that is registered as a charity.
Officeworks fundraising day
Officeworks held a national fundraising day on 24 January, raising more than $300,000 for local schools and families affected by the bushfires. Donations from customers and its team members were also matched by Officeworks.
Team members at Officeworks were also offered paid leave if they joined the volunteer services fighting bushfires.
