Winc renews long-term lease on Sydney warehouse

Erskine Park facility under new ownership.

Winc Australia has signed a new 12-year lease on its western Sydney distribution centre, which sold earlier this month for $115 million.

The 43,000 square metre warehouse was purchased off-market by the investment group Charter Hall from the Kador family, which purchased the then Corporate Express (later Staples) facility from Australand Property Group in 2009 for $43.8 million.

The distribution centre, located at 40-66 Lockwood Drive, Erskine Park, and adjacent to ACCO Brands’ Sydney DC, has approximately 40,000sqm allocated for warehouse accommodation with the remaining 3,000sqm occupied as offices.

"The acquisition of Winc's Erskine Park facility is consistent with both the Group's and Funds' strategy to acquire core logistics properties leased to good quality tenants on long term leases situated in key industrial precincts with access to major infrastructure and transport networks," Charter Hall's industrial and logistics CEO, Richard Stacker, said.
