Indian and Middle East trade fairs cancelled
Coronavirus fears prompt change of dates for stationery shows.
Trade show organiser Messe Frankfurt has cancelled several major stationery and gift fairs scheduled for this month due to concerns over the coronavirus.
In view of the intensifying spread of the Covid-19 virus and the precautionary travel restrictions put in place by the Indian Government, Messe Frankfurt India together with Gifts & Accessories, the Exhibition Division of Netlink Solutions (India) Ltd has decided to postpone the four co-located fairs – Paperworld India, Corporate Gifts Show, Interior Lifestyle India and Interior Lifestyle India presented by Ambiente India, scheduled for later this month.
The co-located fairs will now take place from 21 – 23 January 2021 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai.
Messe Frankfurt has also cancelled the 2020 Paperworld Middle East event and the co-located Gifts & Lifestyle Middle East just a few days before they were scheduled to take place in Dubai. The next Paperworld and Gifts & Lifestyle Middle East will now be held from 2-4 March 2021 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Existing exhibitors have been offered the option to transfer their stand bookings to 2021.
Messe Frankfurt said it was committed to delivering a safe environment for business exchange across all of its trade shows, and that the health of fairgoers, contractors and staff was its “top priority”.
At this stage, the big Paperworld China fair in Shanghai is still scheduled for November, 2020.
