Kiwi dealer group re-opens dealerships
OPD opens its doors with a hug for customers.
New Zealand dealer group Office Products Depot has re-opened its 29 outlets following a relaxation of the country’s COVID-19 lockdown regulations.
Under the country’s strict lockdown laws, OPD outlets were previously only allowed to sell products online, via email or phone.
OPD said that as of 14 May, the group would be re-opening to supply other New Zealand businesses in a “safe and hygienic manner”.
“We continue to operate within the framework outlined by the Ministry of Health and look forward to engaging with our loyal customers safely in our 29 dealerships, via our website, phone and email,” OPD said in a statement.
Meantime, the group has used its Facebook page to promote “virtual hugs” to its customers with the message: “During this difficult time, OPD is giving out safe, 'socially distant', Ministry of Health-approved hugs!”
