Office Brands appoints ‘woman of influence’ to board

Our Town & Country’s Sinead Strawbridge replaces Rob Catterall.

Sinead Strawbridge, managing director of Our Town & Country Office National (pictured), has been appointed a director of Office Brands following the resignation of long-standing board member Rob Catterall.

Catterall, principal of MBM Office National in Mackay, spent 12 years as a director of the dealer group and was due to step down at the next annual general meeting.

Strawbridge was recognised at last year’s Office Brand expo as the group’s inaugural ‘Woman of Influence’, having developed Our Town & Country Office National into a highly-successful business in partnership with her husband Matt.

Strawbridge joined Office National Alice Springs and worked there until in 2008, when she acquired the business from the owner.

In 2014, the Strawbridges invested heavily in the Alice Springs site, building a 1200 sqm retail and warehouse facility which has now been extended by the addition of another 400 sqm of mezzanine capacity. In March 2019 they invested further, taking over and relocating Adelaide Central Office National, now Our Town and Country Adelaide.

Office Brands chairman David Spear said: “Sinead’s history shows her commitment to long-term thinking, strategic investment, and success in driving the marketing of their business.

“These qualities provide a strong base of experience and success that will bring a new depth of understanding to our business, particularly the challenges of a remote business.”

In thanking Catterall for his contribution to the group, Spear added: “I would personally like to thank Rob for all his effort over the past years, both on the board, the IT committee, a large part as chair, and on the finance audit and risk committees.

“Rob has spent massive hours away from his family and business traveling to meetings, supporting and mentoring members of the team.”
