Charity golf day raises more than $25,000
More than 70 players tee off at Macquarie Links.
Last week’s office products charity golf day at Macquarie Links raised more than $25,000 on behalf of children’s charities.
Organised by the Australian Office Products Charitable Fund, the golf day attracted 74 players, who competed in a four-ball ambrose event.
AOPCF director John Donaghy said the event would not have been as successful without the support of corporate sponsors, including ACCO Brands and Complete Office Supplies, and the two main dealer groups, Office Brands and Office Choice.
Donaghy also thanked Alison Fitzhenry from Opal Australian Paper, who generously donated (back to the Fund for auction) a pallet of office paper she won in the raffle.
The scratch competition was won by ACCO team 2, comprising Roy Leggo, Glen Shepherd, Simon Plinsky and Stuart Nelson.
The net winner was team COS, comprising Chris Gibson, Andrew Kyprianou, Melanie Gebran and Australian test cricketer Josh Hazelwood.
