The son of Bic founder Marcel Bich, has died aged 74.

 

Bruno Bich (pictured) was responsible for the company’s expansion into North America and remained chairman until 2018. On retiring, he handed over the reins of the company to his eldest son, Gonzalve Bich.

 

Last year, Bich’s wife Veronique filed for divorce following a dispute over the family’s art collection — including works by Pablo Picasso and Andy Warhol.

 

Marcel Bich founded Société Bic in 1945 and the company now has global revenues of around $US2.4 billion.
