GNS appoints experienced corporate exec to board
New independent director has diverse industry background.
GNS Wholesale has appointed experienced corporate executive Kay Veitch (pictured) to its board as an independent non-executive director.
Veitch has more than 25 years’ executive leadership and transformation experience, with industry knowledge spanning supply chain/logistics, not-for-profit, transport and aviation, sales and distribution.
Veitch has held senior leadership roles with Qantas Airways and Virgin Australia, and was a group general manager with consumer products group GWA Limited.
Veitch, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, currently chairs Keep Australia Beautiful NSW and is a member of the boards of Greater Sydney Local Land Services, Evolve Housing and Aspect Studios.
Martin Hartcher, chairman of GNS Wholesale, said Veitch’s appointment aligned with GNS’ on-going strategic development.
“I believe Kay will contribute greatly to our future, particularly within our wholesaling and logistics strategy. On behalf of our shareholders, I welcome Kay to the board and look forward to her contribution,” he said.
GNS’ five-person board now comprises the chairman, three non-executive directors and CEO, Paul Yardley.
