Perth-based Quick Corporate Australia has been acquired by Complete Office Supplies in a deal which promises to shake up the independent dealer channel.

 

Sydney-based COS will officially absorb the national QCA business on 1 October.

 

QCA, the largest member of the Office Choice dealer group, has offices and warehouses in Perth, Melbourne and Sydney, and has estimated sales of around $18 million, down from a reported $30 million several years ago.

 

Perth businessman Amu Shah is undersatood to be the principal shareholder in QCA. 

 

QCA has sold back its 49 per cent stake in Kulbardi and Office Choice will continue its partnership with the now independent indigenous office supplies business, which markets the Bibbulmun private label range.

 

COS has a long-standing affiliation with another indigenous company, Muru Office Supplies.

 

Last week, Complete Office Supplies announced that company founder Dom Lyone would be handing over management of the company to daughters Belinda and Amie, who would take on the role of joint CEOs.

 

Lyone, who founded the company in 1977, said that “strategic acquisitions” would among his main responsibilities in his new role as chairman.
