Office Brands has donated $25,000 to children’s charity group Camp Quality as part of its in-house Initiative Charity Fund program.
Adam Joy, CEO of Office Brands (pictured) said, “We can’t change COVID, we can’t change the economy, we can however make a huge difference by supporting kids facing cancer and that’s why our members have raised and donated $25,000 to the kids at Camp Quality”.
“The last couple of years have been a challenging and uncertain time for our industry and members. Through managing the impacts of shifting profits, altered categories, business lockdowns, staff physical and mental wellbeing and ever-changing rules,” Joy said.
“Our members however have strong foundations and a good support network, which is why they are so resilient. We know we will come out of this stronger than before,” he added.
In accepting the cheque, Camp Quality CEO Deborah Thomas said: “A cancer diagnosis can be very emotional and overwhelming for kids and families to deal with”.
“We are very grateful for the support and partnership of Office Brands to help us give kids facing cancer the chance to be kids again. We rely almost entirely on the generosity of everyday Australians, and organisations like Office Brands to help us provide our services and programs free of charge. And so, it’s a very welcome donation, especially in this climate,” she said.
