Charity sponsors and supporters go the extra mile
The office products industry just keeps on giving.
The Australian office products industry has once again demonstrated its charitable side with an exceptional level of support for the Sydney-based Dandelion Support Network, a grassroots not-for-profit group that supports children and families in need.
Having already presented Dandelion with a cheque for $33,000 – the proceeds from last month’s Christmas charity dinner – the Australian Office Products Charitable Fund has followed up with a donation of $20,000 worth of school book packs and $2500 worth of back packs, the latter purchased by the Fund.
AOPCF director John Donaghy, who was instrumental in coordinating the fund-raising effort, said the Fund was indebted to suppliers, distributors and dealers for their continued support of the Fund’s activities.
”On behalf of the Fund, I would like to thank ACCO Brands Australia and Complete Office Supplies for their sponsorship of the charity dinner as well as Avery, Office Brands, Office Choice, Visionchart, Bennetts Office Supplies and Dynamic Office National for their cash donations,” Donaghy said.
“We would also like to thank Opal Australian Paper for its generous donation of a pallet of Reflex and the following companies for their product donations for the book packs - Opal Australian Paper, ACCO Brands Australia, Pilot Pen Australia, GNS, Uniball and Discount Office National,” he said.
The Fund’s next fund-raising event will be the annual golf day, scheduled for 8 April.
