Winc commits to more First Nations business
Procurement practices reviewed and updated.
Winc Australia has announced plans to increase overall spend on goods and services procured from First Nations-owned business.
Winc, which has a joint venture arrangement with indigenous workplace supplies business Mandura, said it will continue to review and update procurement practices to remove barriers to procuring goods and services from First Nations businesses and train its people on how best to procure from First Nations businesses.
The company added that its recently-launched fifth Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), reflects its “dedication to supporting the growth of First Nations businesses to increase representation in its supply chain, and our strong commitment to education and employment opportunities.”
Scott Allen, CEO of Mandura, added: “We are committed to supporting and increasing the representation of First Nations businesses in our supply chain.
“By promoting their products, we can help our customers contribute to long-term and meaningful change with First Nations communities,” he said.
