Queensland charities open pop-up stationery shops
Queensland charities confront rising BTS costs.
Brsibane-based charity Stationery Aid will stage an open day next week to assist families struggling with back-to-school costs.
For the first time, members of the public will have the opportunity to shop a wide range of renewed educational resources, school stationery, teaching resources, office supplies, craft items, gifts and more at the pop-up stationery shop.
Held over three days from 12-14 January, the open day will ensure all children start the new school year with everything they need to complete their lessons.
Stationery Aid co-founding director Alison Schutt is hoping for a big turnout across the three days.
“We invite the community to join us for a unique opportunity to shop our huge range of low-cost, renewed educational resources and office supplies,”Schutt told the Moreton Daily.
“All proceeds from this event will directly fund our mission to provide sustainable education resources for students in need,” she said.
The Bundaberg region's pop-up shop School Savvy is also is offering second-hand school uniforms and "quality booklist stationery supplies at extremely low-cost" until 12 January.
