Retailers recognised for premium pens and paper products.

The “best” retail stationery outlets in Brisbane have been announced by online site Best in Australia.

The website, which focusses on all the ‘best’ aspects of Australian society, nominated The Paper Empire, Smiggle and Pen & Paper as the city’s top three stationery shops.

The Paper Empire, located on James Street, New Town, has been operating for five years and was originally a milk bar.

The Smiggle outlet, located in the CBD Myer Centre, is part of Premium Investments’ global chain, which was launched in Australia in 2003.

Pen & Paper is associated with Pen & Ink, a pen specialty store located on the Gold Coast.

Pen & Paper opened in Queens Street, Brisbane, in 2009. Both stores carry a large selection of premier and luxury brands of fine writing instruments including the latest Limited and Special Editions from Montblanc, Montegrappa, Graf von Faber-Castell, Visconti, Pelikan and Porsche Design.

They also carry pens from major brands such as A.T. Cross, Faber-Castell, Fisher Space Pens, LAMY, Monteverde, Parker, Pilot, Platinum, Sheaffer, Waterman and many more.
