Winc revives Corporate Express brand for own label range
Yesterday’s big name in office products makes a comeback.
Winc Australia has revived the Corporate Express brand as part of an extended private label strategy.
The Corporate Express name is synonymous with the contract office supplies business in Australia and globally.
Corporate Express changed its name to Staples in 2012 and was re-badged Winc in Australia following the company’s acquisition by US private equity firm Platinum Equity in 2017.
Winc said the “refreshed” Corporate Express product offering will focus on office essentials - specifically “ethically sourced and quality tested, signature products including name card accessories, lanyards and key holders.”
In Australia, the range is available on Winc’s NetXpress, Welcome and retail sites. In New Zealand, the Corporate Express range will be sold exclusively by OfficeMax New Zealand.
“The Corporate Express brand is much loved and highly trusted given its long history in the market," Adelle Howse, interim CEO of Winc Australia and OfficeMax New Zealand, said. “The brand has a long association with Winc, and before that Staples, and see a real opportunity in expanding the Corporate Express range moving forward.”
“The Corporate Express brand is built on the idea of reliability, convenience and quality. This refresh has been designed to leverage this strength to generate long-term benefits in both Australia and New Zealand,” she said.
Winc has supported the new Corporate Express range with a 100 per cent money-back guarantee.
