New ‘agile’ role for Warehouse Stationery CEO
Leading Kiwi retailer restructures senior management.
New Zealand’s The Warehouse Group has eliminated two CEO positions – including the top job at Warehouse Stationery – as part of plan to make the company ”more agile”.
The change sees the removal of the CEO roles for both The Warehouse/Warehouse Stationery and Noel Leeming businesses.
Pejman Okhovat (pictured) – formerly CEO at the two Warehouse brands – has been named as chief operating officer at the Warehouse Group, reporting to group CEO Nick Grayston.
Tim Edwards, CEO of Noel Leeming, is now chief sales officer of The Warehouse Group.
Grayston said: “The future will be dominated by an ever-increasing pace of change, and traditional structures are too slow to provide a flexible platform to react quickly to changing customer dynamics.
“We have clear aspirations for the move to agile,” he continued. “Keeping customers at the centre of everything we do; making our company the best place to work; being fast and dynamic at executing; achieving a higher standard of performance; and getting back to the ambitious innovation that made us great.”
Mark Yeoman, COO for the past five years, will leave the company later this month.
